Eleventh Annual Young Artists String Quartet Competition

The Boise Chamber Music Society is pleased to announce the results of the Eleventh Annual Young Artists String Quartet Competition, as judged Saturday, Mar. 12, by the members of the Meccore Quartet, who performed the night before on the Boise Chamber Music Series.
The Pre-College Competition, including the $800 prize, was won by the Centennial High School String Quartet: Camille Hutchings and Nathan Kim, violins; Nathan McMurray, viola; and Zachary Taylor, cello; coached by Matt Fiorentino, and performing works by Samuel Barber and Dvorak.
The Collegiate Competition, including the $1000, prize was won by the Cambiare Quartet of Brigham Young University, Idaho: Rebecca Fagerston and Sarah Bagley, violins; Arita Justus, viola; and Taylor Rhodes, cello; coached by Prof. Dallin Hansen, and performing works by Haydn and Grieg.
