The Lincoln Trio - Oct. 6

Please welcome back the LINCOLN TRIO for their third appearance on our Series. Most recently they visited in 2015 with a scintillating program of Latin American and Spanish piano trios. Formed in 2003, the Chicago-based Lincoln Trio takes its name from their home, the heartland of the United States, the land of Lincoln. FANFARE Magazine hailed the Lincoln Trio—Desirée Ruhstrat, violin, David Cunliffe, cello, and Marta Aznavoorian, piano—as "one of the hottest young trios in the business."

The Lincoln Trio has performed throughout the United States, including appearances at Carnegie's Weil Hall, Ravinia Festival, Poisson Rouge, LACMA, Lane Concert Series, University of Chicago, Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series, Music in the Loft, and in Springfield, Illinois, chosen to celebrate the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial celebration with President Barack Obama. Internationally the trio has performed in Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and most recently a five-city tour of Colombia. Check out these short YouTubes to hear what they are up to now!
