Alexander week

The Boise Chamber Music Series celebrates thirty-plus years of presenting professional touring chamber music ensembles in the Morrison Center Recital Hall with a wonderful commissioned string quartet by Tarik O'Regan as performed by the Alexander String Quartet.

Please join us for a very special morning featuring the second-ever performance of British composer Tarik O’Regan’s new string quartet, Gradual. O’Regan will join the Alexander String Quartet on the Morrison Center Recital Hall stage to introduce his new work, which was commissioned by the Boise Chamber Music Society. After the performance, O’Regan and the Quartet will conduct a forum with the audience, answering questions and discussing their processes.

The Alexander String Quartet Plays Boise State Student Compositions
Saturday, October 8, 11:40am - 12:30pm Morrison Center Recital Hall (C200)
The Alexander Quartet will perform string quartets written by Boise State music composition students Rebecca Brimhall and Francis Judilla, from the composition studio of Dr. Sam Richards. The public is invited to hear the new student works and the artists' comments and suggestions to the students.
